The Vice President of Manufacturing Programs is responsible for providing leadership and management of WIRE-Net's Manufacturing programs, which provide growth coaching and operational excellence support to Northeast Ohio manufacturers. A major element of the program is focused on assisting manufacturers in the city of Cleveland to improve and grow in Cleveland, working with the Cleveland Department of Economic Development.



  • 5+ year's progressive experience in manufacturing operations, continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, manufacturing consulting, or manufacturing management
  • 3-5 years' experience in managing budgets, contracts, grant-funded programs
  • Experience in the non-profit and economic development sectors is a plus
  • Ability to create, implement and manage manufacturing services programs to individual companies, through programs delivered to small groups, and through public learning opportunities
  • Proven ability to drive revenue growth
  • Familiarity with challenges confronting U.S. based manufacturers
  • Proven ability to motivate self and staff through competition and success
  • Demonstrated effective facilitation skills, and ability to form, participate in and lead internal and external work-teams and meetings
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong computer skills


Bachelor's degree in a related Engineering field; Master's degree or MBA with focus on operations preferred.
